    Here is the long-sought after recap of our Q & A session over a month ago.. Forgive the delay, please.


    Tera Classic Topics

    THE ROAD SO FAR

    • IT’S ONLY BEEN THREE MONTHS!
    • At the end of July we launched our server.
    • Through most of August we battled with external attacks
    • End of August: We implemented a server-driven Toolbox support
    • Once we braved the storm:
    • Minor and major game updates, every week pretty much!
    • Various loot improvements to various content
    • The first pass of the Class Balance overhaul (part 1)
    • Got our game testers settled in and they are doing amazing work
    • Server backend infrastructure upgrades and clean up

    1. Introducing Crazy-Systems!


    Question:

    So..what is crazy-systems?

    Answer:

    "Crazy-Systems is the technical backbone of Crazy-eSports — our own hosting division. There we consolidate:

    • Game servers (e.g., TERA, community projects)
    • Virtual machines for internal tools & partners
    • Storage systems for large amounts of data
    • Hardware firewalls & software solutions for maximum security

    Everything runs on our own hardware, which we are continually expanding.

    That allows us to respond flexibly to new projects — whether it’s our own MMO, a community server, or hosting offers for partners.

    2. A new look! [Website Project]

    We are proud to announce that in the coming days we will release a new website design for our Crazy E-Sports landing page, as well for our Tera Classic and Tera Awakening Server page.

    We are hoping this will give us a stronger online presence as well as providing our users with a better experience.

    3. Gaming & Servers

    Question:

    Are new game servers planned?

    Answer:

    Yes — and that’s something we’re particularly excited about!

    We are currently evaluating intensively which games we should add next to our hosting lineup.

    It’s not just about what’s technically possible, but also about what our community wants.


    And this is where you come in:

    We’re opening the doors for community projects.

    If you’ve always wanted to host your own private server, please get in touch with us!

    We can provide the hardware, security and maintenance.

    That way you realize projects that would otherwise be impossible — with the support from Crazy-Systems."

    4. Own Projects

    Question:

    Are you planning new games or even your own MMO?

    Answer:

    Yes — and this brings us to one of our biggest future projects:

    4.a A new game being hosted! [RO Project]

    A new project that will be partnered and sponsored by Crazy E-Sports - a Private Ragnarok Online server. For those old school korean MMORPG fans that either grew up with the golden old times of this game, or perhaps for someone who enjoys a grindy and satisfying sandbox experience unlike any other kMMORPG.

    The release date is still undisclosed, but a private Early Alpha Test will be made available within the coming weeks to gather initial feedback about the server features and game balance.

    4.b We are working on our own fantasy medieval MMORPG, which will be developed under Crazy-Systems.

    Imagine a world where you experience real-time combat similar to Black Desert Online — fast, dynamic, without classic tab-targeting.

    A world with factions, alliances, castle and city sieges, a deep trade and economic system, and special PvP zones.

    We’re using Unreal Engine 5 to create realistic graphics and an immersive game world.


    Our timeline is long-term:

    We expect an earliest playable alpha version in 2027. Until then we’re building systems, testing mechanics — and actively collecting your feedback.

    Because the MMO should not only be our project, but your game as well.

    5. Are you looking for new team members?

    Answer:

    Yes, absolutely! We have two areas where you can get involved:

    1. Crazy-eSports:

    Here we’re looking for Game Masters, Support staff, and community helpers who work directly with players. Your tasks: support players, handle tickets, and help keep the community running.

    2. Crazy-Systems:

    Here we’re looking for developers — especially for Unreal Engine 5, but also for Python and other technologies. You’ll work on exciting projects like the MMO, new tools, or core web systems.

    We offer close collaboration, a professional development structure with our own GitLab environment, test servers and runners — and above all the chance to be part of a team that truly moves things. You can apply easily via our new careers page."

    6. Technology & Security

    Question:

    How do you protect your servers from attacks? How can we be sure, that our data is safe?

    Answer:

    It’s really simple. Security for us is not an extra, but a requirement.

    We use Cloudflare and state-of-the-art DDoS protection systems, have developed our own monitoring that detects attacks and outages immediately, and additionally rely on a proven infrastructure.

    Our servers are located in data centers with ISO 27001 certification (Hetzner).

    That means: highest standards in security, fire protection, redundant power supply and network connectivity. Simply put: even if an attacker tries to disrupt us — we are prepared."

    Also we are in Germany, which means we are forced to comply with extremely high standards when it comes to User Data handling and protection.

    7. Future & Vision

    Question:

    Are there plans for partnerships or licenses?

    Answer:

    Yes — we’ve already sent official inquiries to Kakao Games and Krafton/Bluehole.

    Our dream is to become a long-term official partner and bring games like TERA or ArcheAge back to Europe and the USA.

    But we have to be honest here: As long as we stay in the private-server sector, there are limitations. Still, we are working to expand anyway and this way offer you more content.

    The path definitely wont be easy — but we think, we believe, its worth it.

    Community Feedback & Questions

    Classic Server

    Player Observations:

    1. Community feels much smaller; LFG queues are much longer. Can we have unlimited dungeon entries to help players still progressing their gear or catching up?
      • We’re working on a solution for this. Currently discussed internally.
    2. Gear progression currently favors multi-account crafting routes. Could there be alternative ways to obtain gear beyond gathering/crafting?
      • No info to share about this at this point. Please create a suggestion topic for us to gather more information and feedback.
    3. The current in-game Skill Prediction (SP) version feels worse than older free versions. Will we ever be able to use our own SP tools again?
      • Our Server Skill Prediction mod will never be as “smooth” as Client Side SP mods, due to how it works.
        However we are currently looking at improving our Skill prediction mod which should result in a smoother experience. Please stay tuned for further updates.
    4. Will you nerf double heal?
      • Please post in the suggestions channel so that we can get a discussion going about this.
    5. Regarding regional servers — if players are in the Middle East, would a localized version help with ping/connection?
      • It could. Please open a suggestion topic so we can see how many players could benefit from a new proxy region!
    6. Can we expect newer dungeons like Timescape, Ruinous Manor, or Forsaken Island? Or will content stop before those patches?
      • New playable content is planned for 2026.
    7. Is exclusive Classic content planned (gear, dungeons, or events)?
      • We are considering it for 2026. We are still investigating the Tera File structure to be able to manipulate it as best as possible, but we want to - yes.
    8. Will Classic remain on Patch 31 (P31)?
      • Yes and no. We are back-porting costumes and classes, content as well. But our mechanics and class balance foundation will stay close to Patch 31.
    9. What exactly is “VM4.5” you’ve mentioned — is it a step between VM4 and Lucid (VM5)?
      • Something like that. Mid-term progression update to unify PVP and PVE visionmaker stats into one equipment set.
    10. Is Elin Gunner coming to Classic?
      • Maybe, maybe not.
    11. Regarding backporting classes — how feasible is it? (e.g., Brawler has knock-up mechanics that don’t exist in this patch version).
      • We will face these issues when we get to them. As of now we are looking at Ninja and that’s going well..so far.

    Awakening Server

    General Questions:

    • What’s your strategy for increasing the player base?
      • We will start talking to content creators after our new websites are online, as well as involve ourselves a little bit more on social media channels.
    • Will there be advertising or marketing campaigns to attract new/returning players?
      • Yes, see above.
    • You mentioned new extreme dungeons planned for 2026 — which dungeons will those be, and how many are expected?
      • Will be detailed later, however due to recent team restructuring, we cannot answer this properly as of now.
    • Is there a road map available for Awakening?
      • Not anymore, as of this moment. We will keep you posted.


    Gameplay & Mechanics:

    • When will we have a dungeon rotation update? The current one has been live for ~1.5 years.
      • Once we have enough dungeons to fill a new rotation.
    • Will you fix loot distribution issues (e.g. Purple Alkahest low drop rate, not group loot)?
      • This was planned with the old road map, but we cannot give a good answer on the implementation as of now.
    • Are there any class balance patches planned (either standalone or alongside new gear)?
      • This was planned with the old road map, but we cannot give a good answer on the implementation as of now.
    • Will you change the Purple Alkahest problem and keep the +21 enchanting system, or revert/scrap it?
      • This was planned with the old road map, but we cannot give a good answer on the implementation as of now.
    • Can we expect catch-up mechanics for new players? It's currently hard for lower GS players to find groups or gear up.
      • Please use the suggestions channel to post your ideas regarding this!
    • Any plans to make 2.0 Dragons available again (for those who missed the one-year event)?
      • See our forum post regarding this.
    • Will you reduce EP and skill advancement point requirements?
      • No plans as of now.
    • Can we remove the costume rotation in the Dressing Room and lower prices? Why not just let us buy what we want?
      • No, please check the forum regarding this.
    • Could there be an NPC for skins, mounts, VIP, and Teracoin items purchasable with Vanguard Coins (like on Classic)?
      • No and Classic will remove this feature eventually. The reason being that Classic hit our Earnings limit very quickly after launch, so a temporary solution was implemented to allow players to get costumes without purchasing them.
    • Could party rewards scale with fewer players (e.g. 3–4 players instead of full party)? Some dungeons (like Brawler NM) are doable solo — reward effort fairly.
      • No plans of now, we don’t want to force players to use smaller parties to farm things.


    Technical & Server Questions

    • Any plans to fix desyncs for classes like Brawler and DA?
      • No plans as of now, this was also a problem on retail unfortunately.
    • How limited are you by copyright on Awakening — especially if you’re adding new extreme dungeons beyond what existed officially (like Manaya)?
      • No issues, copyright has nothing to do with it.


    Miscellaneous

    • GM moderation concerns — players feel GMs timeout or ban arbitrarily; can this be addressed?
      • This won’t be happening anymore.
      • If you get muted without warning, its likely because you are being toxic, rage baiting or otherwise try to stir negativity within the community or directed at the GM team.
      • Bans and other heavier moderation will always be followed by a ticket/email.
    • Why is the Awakening economy so inflated compared to Classic’s cheaper progression?
      • Our prices are much lower than other p servers in general
      • Classic caused massive earning-caps (induced by our agreement with Krafton) in the early days, forcing us to make costumes otherwise available
      • These solutions are gonna be changed in the future
      • Other shop items have pretty much the same prices on both servers (with very minor differences)
      • Gold inflation is a problem both servers have to solve, and gold sinks are being implemented

    ...ich wurde von einigen Spielern gefragt ob es einen Übersetzungs Button gibt?

    Meine Antwort: Nö!

    Wenn ihr das nicht ganz sprachlich versteht, dann Kopiere das ganze einfach und frag den Google Übersetzer.

    Da kannst auch andere Sprachen einstellen.

    Ich schlage vor einen derartigen Link einzubauen für diejenigen, die nicht alles wirklich verstanden haben. Nach meinen Erfahrungen gibt es auch bei Tera nicht wenige Spieler die der englischen Sprache nicht mächtig sind und ich habe nicht immer Lust den Text zu übersetzen.

    In dem Sinne weiter viel Erfolg. :)
