Hello everyone,

first of all, we’re very happy that Awakening is reachable again and many of you can already play normally.
At the same time, we want to stay transparent: we are still running load and stability tests and applying the final adjustments to ensure everything runs smoothly long-term.

Short restart tomorrow (14:00 – 15:00 CET)

Tomorrow the server will require a short restart sometime between 14:00 and 15:00 (CET).

Reason: we still need to apply a few remaining fixes and adjustments to fully stabilize the system.
The restart will not take long – and we will update you as soon as everything is back online.

Can’t connect? (Workaround)

Some players may currently experience issues connecting, or the launcher might behave oddly.
In most cases, this is caused by a launcher cache issue.

Workaround:

1. Log out of the launcher
2. Close the launcher completely
3. Start the launcher once as administrator
   (Right click → “Run as administrator”)
4. Log in again

After that, it should work again.

Apology & compensation

We would like to sincerely apologize that you were unable to play on the server for almost two days.
We understand that many of you log in daily – for dailies, progression, or simply to relax – and this downtime was frustrating.

Regarding time-limited items: don’t worry – we are currently working on fair compensation so nobody will be at a disadvantage.

“Nothing happened since Christmas…” – Quick explanation

Some of you may wonder why things felt quieter since Christmas.
That is partly true – and the reason is simple:

After the end-of-year stress, our dev team also needed a short break to rest and recharge.

However, starting next week we will be back at full strength, working again at full speed on improvements, fixes and upcoming content.

Q1 outlook – What’s next?

We also want to give you a quick preview of what’s planned for Q1:

A new hub area is planned: Valkyria.
Some of you may remember Valkyria – it was already active years ago, and we want to bring that feeling back.

Valkyria is planned as a central hub again – for player activity, trading and community, and as a gateway to upcoming content.

More details will follow once the current test phase is completed.

erst einmal freuen wir uns sehr, dass Awakening aktuell wieder erreichbar ist und viele von euch bereits wieder normal spielen können.
Gleichzeitig möchten wir transparent bleiben: Wir führen weiterhin Belastungs- und Stabilitätstests durch und arbeiten noch an den letzten Anpassungen, damit das System dauerhaft stabil läuft.

Kurzer Neustart morgen (14:00 – 15:00 Uhr)

Morgen benötigt der Server zwischen 14:00 und 15:00 Uhr einmal einen kurzen Neustart.

Grund dafür ist, dass wir noch ein paar Fixes und Anpassungen final einspielen müssen, damit alles langfristig sauber funktioniert.
Der Neustart wird nicht lange dauern – wir geben euch natürlich Bescheid, sobald alles wieder online ist.

Verbindungsprobleme? (Workaround)

Einige Spieler haben aktuell eventuell noch das Problem, dass sie sich nicht verbinden können oder der Launcher sich „komisch“ verhält.
In vielen Fällen liegt das an einem Cache-Problem im Launcher.

Workaround:

1. Bitte im Launcher ausloggen
2. Launcher komplett schließen
3. Launcher einmal als Administrator starten
   (Rechtsklick → „Als Administrator ausführen“)
4. Wieder einloggen

Danach sollte es wieder funktionieren.

Entschuldigung & Ausgleich

Wir möchten uns an dieser Stelle wirklich nochmal aufrichtig entschuldigen, dass ihr jetzt rund 2 Tage nicht auf dem Server spielen konntet.
Wir wissen ganz genau, dass viele von euch dort täglich Zeit verbringen, dailies machen oder einfach entspannen wollen – und genau das war nicht möglich.

Zum Thema zeitgebundene Items: Keine Sorge – wir lassen uns hier noch eine passende Kompensation einfallen, damit euch kein Nachteil entsteht.

„Seit Weihnachten ist nichts passiert…?“ – Kurze Erklärung

Einige von euch wundern sich bestimmt, warum es seit Weihnachten ruhiger geworden ist.
Das stimmt auch teilweise – und dafür gibt es einen ganz simplen Grund:

Auch unsere Devs mussten nach dem ganzen Jahres-End-Stress einmal kurz durchatmen, runterkommen und neue Kraft tanken.

Ab nächster Woche sind wir aber wieder in voller Stärke dabei und arbeiten wieder mit Hochdruck an weiteren Anpassungen, Verbesserungen und Content.

Ausblick Q1 – Was kommt als nächstes?

Wir möchten euch auch direkt einen kleinen Ausblick geben, was im Q1 geplant ist:

Geplant ist eine neue Hub Area: Valkyria.
Einige kennen Valkyria bestimmt noch – vor ein paar Jahren war diese Hub Area bereits einmal aktiv. Genau dieses Gefühl wollen wir wieder zurückbringen.

Valkyria soll wieder ein zentraler Treffpunkt werden – für Spieleraktivität, Handel und Community und als Ausgangspunkt für neue Inhalte.

Sobald die aktuellen Tests abgeschlossen sind, folgen dazu natürlich weitere Infos.

Leider müssen wir euch mitteilen, dass sich die Wartungsarbeiten an Awakening erneut verzögern.
Wir arbeiten aktuell daran, das System wieder vollständig aktiv zu bekommen, da im Hintergrund eine neue Oberfläche / neue Systemstruktur umgesetzt wird.

Dadurch dauern die Anpassungen und Prüfungen länger als geplant und wir können aktuell noch keinen festen Zeitpunkt nennen, wann der Server wieder online geht.

Wir halten euch auf dem Laufenden und geben ein weiteres Update, sobald wir neue Informationen haben.

Unfortunately, we have to inform you that the maintenance work on Awakening is taking longer than expected.
We are currently working on getting the system fully back online, as a new interface / new system structure is being implemented in the background.

Because of these changes and additional checks, the process is taking more time than planned and we can’t provide an exact ETA yet.

We will keep you updated and post another update as soon as we have more information.
