Servus,
LG

the problem that i see is:
- all players skip the content because they can, leaving no players for small dungeons and areas
- you can do many dungeons alone, but i think that's a big mistake
- a game that gives the impression of being a single player game, will not give many older players an incentive to check it out again
- in the long run, it also will not give new players an incentive, as they have to assume that they will mostly have to deal with the content on their own , because it can skipped by players.in the end: you need only "lvl up max npc" and "a portal" to the end zone on the beginning isle and all is fine
you won't be able to reinvent the wheel with Tera, but within the scope of the possibility, you should look at which things would attract players and which are only of use for a while, until the player puts the game aside again.
i don't think anyone wants Tera to theoretically be reduced to a dungeon browser and chat only game, because the rest has been pushed out with questionable decisions.
in the end , the question is, what want the owner reaching.
it is strange that these questions are coming up more and more on p-servers. the players know very well, that there are more additional options, and are even more dissatisfied than with official systems.
i have hosted more than one p-server in the past, and it's the same issue everywhere.
but, in the end, that's just my opinion, i'm not responsible where this all goes

and a question that i always ask myself: why should i play an MMO mostly alone? wouldn't it be better to spend that time somewhere else?
regards ,and first and foremost, have fun with friends

Don't get me wrong, TERA is an old, dead MMO. The majority of the player base consists of veterans, people who have played this game for years, it's very rare to see actual new players joining.
Because of this, veteran players don’t want to bother with leveling and excessive grinding, they’ve already done that for years on retail, since TERA survives only through private servers, players just want to come home, sit down, and relax while pressing buttons with their homies.
TERA is already a game where you need friends to play properly, and even they will eventually quit after a certain period. Forcing players to grind and level up manually won’t attract any veterans, and once again, veteran players make up the majority of the private server player base.
I still think implementing both ways of leveling up scroll and manual would be a good idea, but in the end it's not up to me. Plus, OltSoldat has already replied regarding his vision on this topic.
" Every player, take your time and learn to appreciate the world of MMOs "
Normally, I would agree with this point, but in the case of TERA, maybe it applies to a new MMO, not one that’s been out for at least 10 years and struggles to attract new players.
If new players do join, sadly, they’re a very small minority, while veterans make up the majority.
You can't keep a private server alive if you place your hopes on new players, it's obvious that the old players will bring it to life by playing there, as they play out of nostalgia and represent the majority.
And on a final note, what do you mean by whining? I’ve said some really solid points, if you don’t agree take each point individually and provide counterarguments to prove me wrong.
well, unfortunately it reads like crying

i'm not new either, but as a veteran, i think it's great that this offer even exists. this for the point "dead" mmo.
and that's exactly, why it's even more important for me, that new players, if you bring some along, appreciate that.
i know, how many things are possible, and because i like MMOs and also TERA, i level every character as - if it were my first one
i'm assuming, that this the point who shows, we are two different types of MMO players
note: all this should appreciate Veterans in particular

i don't mean that in a bad way, so don't get me wrong

- "nobody need lvl scrolls" -
in my opinion, it's something for lazy people, or people who have too much money.
if a player don't have enough time for a MMO, they you should reorganize.
lvl scrolls makes the theme park mmo content useless, and this applies to the first character as well as to the tenth.
and that's my opinion, i know that i shouldn't have to use such a lvl scroll.
i recommend to every player, take your time, and learn to appreciate the world of MMOs.
this version of Tera is massively trimmed down compared to the first version, and you can progress really quickly enough.
new content , yes thats a other thing..............sorry , but your post is in my eye`s a maximum of whining

Servus,

moin, habe mich schon gewundert.

willkommen hier,
